Smart Ways to be Indexed by Google Bot

There is a saying:
“If the mountain doesn’t go to Mohamed, Mohamed must go to the mountain” or vice versa depending on the context.

How it may help your site being indexed? Directly, if Google doesn’t visit or doesn’t want to visit your site, you need to go to Google yourself. By making your site “closer”” to Google, you will get it indexed in no time. Just be “closer” and help Google to find you.

Here are several powerful strategies:

1. Join a Google’s Blogger.com service. Google loves Blogger.com because it is their own division. Start a new Blog, make posts with textual info from your site and links back to your site, then ping your Blog RSS (or Atom) feed to different Blog servers, announcing your new post. This will make Google and other SEs to spider your post and then follow the links to your website content. For extra promotion add your Blog feed to any other Blog directories, especially in My Yahoo account to get indexed in Yahoo directory.

2. Submit articles, post comments or held a discussion in Google’s Groups section http://Groups-beta.Google.com/. Its like Discussion Board posts, except for you post on the top ranked Google itself.

3. Add your website to DMOZ directory http://dmoz.org/add.html and very soon you will find yourself in Google’s Directory http://www.Google.com/dirhp

4. If you have a catalog of products, your #1 stop should be Froogle products search engine http://Froogle.Google.com/, where you can add your products descriptions for free.

5. Don’t forget to pay a visit to Google’s Catalogs http://Catalogs.Google.com/ for adding your Catalog of products and/or services if you have one.

6. Another trick is to post a relevant comment with your URL included on a question relating to your site’s theme at http://Answers.Google.com/ It was noticed that Google often places their own answers in SE listings and it places them very high. Usually Google answers get Top-10 listings, so not only can you make your site noticed and indexed, but get a Top listing.
