Let me share with you today’s statistics from my http://NeoArticle.com article directory launch. In about a month, after the press release submission on February 22nd, Google indexed 23,400 as on March 24th then due to duplicate content Google filtered out about 10,000 pages (what, by the way, would not have happened if I could add PHP into my templates). Anyway, right now Google shows 14,000 pages in its index and the results are quite satisfying to say the least.
Let me remind you that the site is online for only 3 month, and, except for placing 2 links from my own marketing sites and press release submission at the end of the 2nd month, I did absolutely no promotion.
The question is how you can index your content site so massively and so fast without sweat and struggle?
I believe there are 2 main factors contributing to fast SE indexing. They are:
1. Prominent links from quality sites. (No FFA pages, link farms etc.).
2. Frequent update.
As soon as you launched a new site make sure you link to it from any other quality site. You can (1) place a text link from you own site, (2) ask or order a text link(s) from third party sites, (3) submit articles, press releases or submit to directories. Make sure you place several quality links contrary to hundreds of low-quality links that will put your site nowhere, but trouble.
As for the updating frequency, I approve about 70+ articles per day, so the site is updated daily and because of this, I literally make SE bots visit and crawl it on a daily basis. Many SEO experts consider updating frequency among those parameters that determine your rankings too.
I suggest to prioritize your site for bots by updating it often, especially when you are just launching it. This will help create a “crawling pattern” for the SE bots to crawl and index your site often enough and let you index later as much pages as you want.
But what if you launch 10 sites at once? Updating them daily may easily turn that work into a 9.00-5.00 grin. Not necessary.
I have two super web applications to share with you. One is free, used by many VRE (virtual real estate) experts for building huge content networks, and allows building keyword targeted, content sites in a matter of minutes.
Second server-side website manager that I will let you know about next time, is a paid script and designed to manage and grow your sites automatically over time at the rate you set.
I’ve been beta testing it for the last month and all I can say is that this is just an amazing technology. The main concept is updating your site, while you are off playing golf, swimming in the pool or sipping soda on the beach.
Luckily, after long weeks of testing and upgrading, the software is released to the public and you will get the details in the next email, so look for another [NeoProfit Circle] issue in your inbox. Without hype, that soft will be your personal robo-assistant and 24/7 content builder for your site or network of sites.
